This is something we just found out about.

It’s a promising new site that lets you collect money online for just about anything.

I haven’t done much with it (yet) except put up a quick sample funding project related to our business at LWL Worldwide ( see our funding project here ).

So, what’s Fundable.com all about ?

This is directly from their “About” page:

Fundable.com lets groups of people pool money to make purchases or raise funds. Similar to online auctions, Fundable’s collection pages are created by
people who use the web site.

Each page contains a description of how much money needs to be collected and what it will do. Once enough pledges for a collection have been secured, Fundable turns them into real payments and sends the total to the collection’s organizer.

If a collection expires before reaching its total in pledges, Fundable deletes all pledges and never charges money.

To me, using this site the right way, is just about sitting down and thinking how you can add value to somebody, or some group, by orchestrating the funding process.

Or, if you want funding for yourself, for a project you haven’t kicked off (due to lack of start-up capital), or for collecting money for an event / seminar, etc., there’s some creative ways you should be able to use this.

I’ll report back to you on how we’re planning to use it to fund a few hopeful, bold, aspiring e-marketers in our LWL community.
