“It is a frightening thought that man also has a shadow side to him, consisting not just of little weaknesses- and foibles, but of a positively demonic dynamism. The individual seldom knows anything of this; to him, as an individual, it is incredible that he should ever in any circumstances go beyond himself. But let these harmless creatures form a mass, and there emerges a raging monster.”– C..G. Jung
The animated short film below is something one viewer called a “fucking masterpiece.”
He said multiple feelings started bubbling up from the most buried aspects of his being – i.e., chills, anger, sadness, frustration, hope and motivation.
After watching this animation myself, it doesn’t surprise me.
Because, the social justice / activism movement has fueled extreme finger-waging (outward shaming). We have collectively forgot about our Shadow Self (inward reflection).
Those parts of ourselves we dislike and disown; the aspects of Self we regret and repress…
They, truly dear reader, are the lurking monsters controlling our perception of what is or isn’t possible, or what is or isn’t happening, in our lives.
Mr. Rolodex himself, Tim Ferriss, said what you’re about to watch is “the most gripping short animation I’ve seen in years. I think anyone who spends time on a computer or phone needs to watch it.”
