Health. Good health. Wow. What a prized possession.
However, why is it pushed to the backburner?
The Dalia Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity, answered:
“Man. Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, then dies having never really lived.”
You can never underestimate the power of good HEALTH. It’s your most precious possession; your greatest, most sacred investment.
Without it, I think we can all agree nothing else matters — career, relationships, or financial condition. The reality is, without optimized health, these aspects of life can dwindle, and even take a significant nose dive.
When most Americans think of quality of life, they don’t think of this topic at all… usually not until old age creeps around, disease or sickness rears its ugly head, or a tragic accident occurs.
With the posts below, my aim is to share raw commentary, unique information, resources and contacts which I personally find valuable in the quest to minimize illness, optimize energy and lifestyle pursuits and, overall, live life to its fullest.
I believe that the quest to master our Time while living, and meet Death at it’s door without regret…. that is all any reasonable man or woman can feel obligated to do.
