Passive income, fearless living, Rome2Rio + More…

passive income

Let’s put the passive income lead headline aside for a second… and go into an example of how we’re living in unprecedent culturally-crazy times!

“It is difficult to find peace in the woods when armed frogmen might be lurking behind every tree,” lawyers for the Whidbey Environmental Action Network, commented. LMAO!

So, I wonder what kind of “peace” these residents will FEEL when our warriors can’t get the timely, specialized and adequate training they need to protect these whiny ass people’s freedoms.

The SEAL’S have been using this area of Washington State because it “provides a unique environment of cold water, extreme tidal changes, multi-variant currents, low visibility, complex underwater terrain, climate and rigorous land terrain, which provides an advanced training environment,” said Navy spokesman Joe Overton.

(back to me…)

YET, the burgeoning anti-America, anti-military, anti anything hard lined and self-responsible thinking America — led by the social justice bluechecks and woke mob…

Are now trying to CANCEL the SEAL’s use of this Washington State shoreline because local residents are concerned about “both the physiological and environmental impact the SEAL training can have on others using the parks.”

Again, LMAO! File this story under ‘here’s your sign!’ Oh what idiotic times we’re living in.

WHAT ARTICLES I’M READING

10 ways to get the most out of your time on this planet
These 10 nuggets were taken from Oliver Burkeman’s book  Four Thousand Weeks: Time Management for Mortals. In the article, you’ll see how the wisdom is tied to that one commodity, the Time you have on earth, that isn’t renewable. Nor is it known. Once you’re okay with time & death, you can start living with leverage and priorities in mind, as Oliver makes clear.

Passive Income Is A Lie, But Scalable Income Is Real
Ben Le Fort is spot on: “the idea of passive income is a load of crap.” Brad and I, years ago, talked about why in our screencast-chat The Legend of Automated Money. Ben also explains why what most people refer to as “passive” income is actually something else entirely. There are ways to achieve true hands-off cash-flow, automated income. But, there’s certain things that must be in play first.

The $94 Trillion World Economy in One Chart
This chart is a powerful visual reminder of just who the big dawgs are in the “GDP dog park.” A country’s gross domestic product number is a barometer of its economic health. The the GDP of the U.S. alone is greater than the combined GDP of 170 countries, that doesn’t overshadow it’s burgeoning debt, either.

The Secret to Superhuman Strength
An Illustrated Meditation on the Life of the Body, the Death of the Self, and Our Search for Meaning. “Peel it back far enough and beneath every obsession, every compulsion, every peculiarity of being, every creative act and every destructive act, there is the kernel of some universal human struggle or longing — usually for love or for control, the twin faces of the elemental human heartache: we are born to die, and in the meantime life is one great uncertainty throughout which we are fundamentally alone, no matter the people and possessions we surround ourselves with.”

Money has never felt so fake
As Jacob Goldstein wrote in Money: The True Story of a Made-Up Thing, all money is sort of a collective myth. “Money feels cold and mathematical and outside the realm of fuzzy human relationships. It isn’t,” he wrote. “Money is a made-up thing, a shared fiction. Money is fundamentally, unalterably social.”

WHAT I’M PONDERING

A few quotes from older, wiser, more accomplished men:

Profits are the only measurable way of knowing that you are making the world a richer place. You take resources and labor… you work them up into finished products and services… and then sell them for more than you invested to make them. You make a profit. And your customers get something they want. Is there any other reliable gauge of ‘doing good?’

– Bill Bonner

So, they are putting their money on January 6. They are calling it an “insurrection” and a “threat to Democracy.” I’ve watched just about every bit of video put out by CNN, CNBC, and the rest. It was about as scary as a group of high school teens throwing cherry bombs in the school bathroom. That they have made this characterization [an “insurrection”] work is a mind-boggling media accomplishment.

– Mark Ford
